We were commissioned to work with the Dare to Dance participants to create a dance work for inclusion in the D-Day 75 immersive experience.

Following a brief by The Watermill creative team and using a set piece of music, the group, guided by our workshop leader, created an outstanding contemporary dance piece all taken from their ideas.

This was the group’s first ever experience of working on a large-scale live performance.

In partnership with Corn Exchange, and as part of their Ageing Creatively programme, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund, NOCTURN delivers regular creative dance workshops for the over 55s in and around Newbury.

Dare to Dance is a very popular initiative and focuses on challenging perceptions of mature dancers.
